  • Teaching and learning practice: enhancing & measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of learning in Earth Sciences.
  • Enhancing science literacy, and especially Earth science literacy, for science and non-science majors.
  • Committee membership: EOS Science Education Initiative, Web maintenance, Scheduling (chair).  
  • Development of online learning resources, in-class learning techniques, public outreach activities, and assessment of effectivness of such innovations.
      
• Past activities:
• Technology transfer of applied geophysics research, especially with the Geophysical Inversion Facility (UBC-GIF).
• Enhancing the effectiveness of applied geophysics in mineral exploration, environmental, engineering, hydrogeology, glaciological, and other applications, especially development of more effective procedures for carrying out and using geophysical inversion (ie workflow research).
