EM1DFM manual: 
Outline

EM1DFM is a 1D modelling and inversion code for frequency domain measurements that employ current-loop sources. EM methods are not discussed in this version of the IAG CD-ROM. Also, all documentation provided is also available for download from the UBC-GIF website. However, documentation is provided for two reasons:

1. The background (ie theory) document provides a perspective on the differences between modelling and inversio of EM data, compared to potential fields or DC methods that are the main topics of this CD-ROM.
     
2. The EM1DFM code is available for academic and commercial licensing, so some users of the CD-ROM might benefit from having the background documentation and user manuals for the code.

Use pointers in the menu to find the various components of EM1DFM documentation, and remember to check the UBC-GIF website for the latest versions. NOTE there is no educational version of EM1DFM however an academic license may be obtained for research within a university, and commercial licensing is possible. See the licensing information page for details.
