Guided museum tours:
Numerous exhibits span the diverse fields of Earth Science. Some highlights include:

Hands-on Activities:
Led by educated and enthusiastic volunteers, these activities allow you to explore fundmental concepts in Earth Science and have fun in the process:

  • Dig for real fossils!
  • Make your own meteorite impacts and the cratering they cause! Learn about extinctions.
  • Bring your own rocks, minerals and fossils for experts to identify.
  • Experiment with convecting fluids and learn about volcanic eruptions!
  • Learn about how landslides are predicted!
  • Make miniature tsunamis and other waves!
  • Measure earthquake magnitude and experiment with simulated building collapses!
