Research Interests
My research is studying the attenuation mechanisms of molybdenum within neutral rock drainage. Hydrogeological and geochemical techniques are being utilized in order to determine prominent adsorption sites and precipitates occurring under neutral solution conditions in waste rock piles. The study is located at the Antamina Cu-Zn-Mo open-pit mine in Peru, so results will also aid in determining the best closure plan for Teck Cominco.
