As special events are organized, they will be listed here along with other
course news about tests, review sessions, etc. Some special events could include:

- Disaster-Response speakers from provincial and national agencies.
- What-If Scenarios: brainstorm sessions about the likely chain of
events after a hypothetical disaster, such as a meteorite striking near Vancouver.
News & Announcements - Spring 2012
Optional Review Session for Midterm 1:
- Kelly Russell & Amelia Bain (substituting for Roland Stull) will give a review session on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 5-7pm in Room WESB 100.
- The Schedule will be: Volcanoes 5-6pm, Fragile System 6-7pm.
Optional Review Session for Midterm 2:
- Brett Gilley & Elizabeth Hearn will give a review session on Monday, Feb. 27, 5-7pm in Room WESB 100.
- The Schedule will be: Landslides 5-6pm, Earthquakes 6-7pm.
Optional Review Session for Midterm 3:
- Roland Stull & Amelia Bain will give a review session on Tuesday, March 20, 5-7pm in Room WESB 100.
- The Schedule will be: Storms 5-6pm, Waves 6-7pm.
Optional Review Session for Final Exam:
- Stuart Sutherland & Roland Stull will give a review session on Friday, April 20, 10-11.15am in Room WESB 100.
- The Schedule will be: Impacts 10-11am, Fragile System II 11am-11.15am.
