Double Major, Combined Major, and Minor Programs
See the Faculty of Science section of the current UBC Calendar for more information
on these programs. Contact the Science Advising Office and relevant advisors
in each department for admission to any of these programs.
Double Major Program
A
Double Major B.Sc. can be earned by completing all of the
Major requirements for each of two different B.Sc. programs, or for a B.Sc.
program and a B.A. program.
- For EOS, the relevant Major requirements would be 30 upper-level EOSC
credits, plus any lower-level prerequisites.
- Courses taken to meet Faculty of Science requirements (such as first-year
English and the 12 credits elective Arts) would apply to both halves of
a double program.
- In most cases, the breadth requirement would be met by a second Major,
but if EOS were doubled with Atmospheric Sciences, then the 9-credit breadth
requirement would also have to be met.
- Please also consult the UBC
Calender Graduation Requirements

program is possible; see a Faculty of Science Advisor for details.

Food Systems can be earned in conjunction with any Science Honours or Major
