Undergraduate Students in EOS

See the Undergraduate Degrees page for information about undergraduate degree programs.

The health of any university department can be measured by the quality and enthusiasm of its undergraduate students. And the students in EOS are certainly one of the finest groups on campus. The undergraduate population at EOS is in a word... INVOLVED!!

Undergraduate Prizes and Awards

In addition to scholarships, there are bursaries and prizes awarded on the basis of a variety of criteria. These include: outstanding performance in a particular course or field of interest, involvement in student/department affairs, or overall qualities of leadership and character. Some of the awards are available to students who do not meet the minimum standard to qualify for a scholarship. See Scholarships for Undergraduate Geology Students for more details.

Facilities available to undergraduate students

EOS Undergraduate Clubs

Formally organized undergraduate clubs represent the varied scientific interests within the Department. These organizations, with the help of faculty and staff, coordinate a variety of activities, including sports teams, the annual Geo-Talent(less) Night, weekly social gatherings, and field trips.

Reasons to Get Involved!

All Science and Applied Science Earth and Ocean Science students are urged to join and participate in the club activities. In addition to the obvious social benefits, the clubs also:
