  • System Analyst - Linux/Mac: The Department of Earth, Ocean & Atmospheric Sciences at the University of British Columbia brings together a dynamic, diverse group of scientists and engineers dedicated to understanding how the earth works. As a member of the Computing Staff responsible for supporting the Department's research and teaching, the Systems Analyst integrates and delivers general and specialized computer and network management, consulting, and field support services.

  • POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW - UBC NCE: MEOPAR : The Department of Earth, Ocean & Atmospheric Sciences at the University of British Columbia invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in the field of numerical modelling of coastal ocean circulation. The successful applicant will conduct research as part of a group developing a coupled bio-chem-physical model, based on the NEMO model, of the Strait of Georgia with data assimilation from the VENUS observatory to be run operationally.
    The position is for one-year, renewable for a second year and preferred start dates are July 2013-September 2013.
    The application deadline is May 1, 2013 but it will be extended if a suitable candidate has not been found.
