Research Interests

Exposure and preservation are two limiting factors in igneous research.  In most cases, only part of an igneous system (i.e., volcanic or plutonic) is exposed to study, and few complete volcano-plutonic systems have been investigated.  In consequence, our understanding of igneous systems may be limited.  Complete Late Cretaceous volcano-plutonic complexes that are well exposed in west-central Yukon provide a rare research opportunity to investigate all components of magmatic systems.  Study of these complexes will allow us to expand our understanding of the evolution of magmatic systems and related mineral deposits.
