I am a Geologist graduated from the Santander Industry University (UIS) in Bucaramanga, Colombia on Dec/2005. My main interest is in stablishing controls for metallogeny in different environments. I have worked mainly in mineral exploration in the northern Andes in Colombia in vein hosted (Nariño), porphyry (Murri-Murindó), Intrusion related (Gramalote-Antioquia, B2Gold) and speccially epithermal environments (California District, Santander, Colombia - Ventana Gold Corp). I started Msc in Geological Sciences at UBC with the MDRU on Sep/2010.
Project Title: Geology and Hydrothermal Evolution of the La Bodega and La Mascota Prospects, California District, Santander, Colombia.
Start Date: Sep/2010, Completion Date: Sep/2012.

California District is a Gold Bearing Epithermal deposit composed of hydrothermal breccias and veinlets systems hosted mainly in precambrian gneisses and Triassic-Jurassic granitoids. La Bodega zone is mainly vein-disseminated system. La Mascota is mainly composed of the mentioned Hydrothermal breccias within the NE/NW structutral trend of La Baja Creek. Controls related to the ore deposition, paragenetic sequences and evolution of the system will be analysed for further exploration decision-making.
